This low/zero carbohydrate meal ensures that barely any insulin is produced so, if insulin isn't there, then the fat can't be stored.

Choose from:
­ Grilled or fried bacon (avoid smoked bacon ). Bacon can be fried in butter or olive oil.
­ Eggs as you like them (provided of course that you are tolerant to eggs) - scrambled, fried (in butter), poached etc.
­ Steak or any other pure meat if you fancy it.
­ A few mushrooms and tomatoes fried in butter ( only a couple of tomatoes as they are carbohydrates).

Avoid:
­ Sausages as they are almost always packed with other ingredients.
­ All carbohydrates other than tomatoes or mushrooms.
­ All sauces e.g. tomato sauce, ketchup, brown sauce etc. - as these are all laden with sugar and often other refined carbohydrates too.
