Berry Compote
You can use almost any fruit here, in almost any quantities. Experiment with different quantities of fruit in season to find the tastes that best suit you.Some of our favourites are:
apples on their own;
apple & blackberry;
gooseberries or blackcurrants on their own.
The berry compote is made by mixing any variation of berries - strawberries, raspberries and blackberries for example. Chop the fruit and put it into a saucepan. Cook it slowly, with a small amount of water and with the lid on to preserve the juices, until the fruit has turned into a pulp.
Be sure to stir regularly so that the fruit doesn't stick to the pan. Put a dollop onto your breakfast cereal or have it as a snack with Natural Live Yoghurt.
